May Long 2007

Or, as Kent would say, the May 2-4. Although, I thought that as an experienced beer drinker Kent would need more than an Ontario case for the whole month of May!!!

Bill's nephew Scott was to be in Calgary prior to and over the long weekend. So after introducing Scott to Wing Nite (sorry Bro') we packed him into the van and introduced him to two more of the western Towsley's traditions - a casual 8 hour, 750 km drive AND the May Long at Gregoire Lake in Fort McMurray.

Now, this was Scott's second visit to Fort McMurray, the previous being in August of '95(?) and the weather was no different.

Nevertheless, it was the usual fantastic time with friends and family. In no particular order, the campers included (among others); Alan; Harry and Georg; Eugene, Meaghan and Aidan (I've butchered those I'm sure); Mel and Trevor; Jess and Kent, Angela, Tracy and Rose Marie.

We also had a very special Sunday afternoon with our great, close friends; Tom, Dorothy and Mikel; Mike and Lori.

We returned Monday (another 8 hour, 750 k'er) tired but rejuvenated and rejoicing that we have the good fortune to have such wonderful family and so many wonderful friends!
