Day 301

September 2, 2006

Another week has gone by, it would seem. The garage doors have been hung and painted. After a trip to Canmore, we have decided to paint the doors to look like the log grain after staining. For now, they have been base coated to match the log colour.

The finish carpenter has been in and fixed the dog-eaten window sills. He has also pre-hung the interior doors into their frames.

Greg and Jeff have been working steadily away on the interior walls. In the master wing, these walls are 99 and 44/100 percent complete. The guest bath is in the same state so there remains the bedrooms, mudroom and hallway in that wing to complete.

The electrician has been back and has finished off the garage and completed some more basement work.

The plumber has also been in and roughed in some basement plumbing - apparently the drywallers came early?

Wayne has finished the septic system and it has passed inspection. He has also installed the water system, although the final installation is awaiting the plumber (we assume) since the pressure tank is just sitting in the utility room.

The front and back doors have also been installed.
