Day 237

June 30, 2006

It was a better week this week - as cadasters go. The weather has been good, which means the framers are concentrating on the garage siding. Everything is complete here except a little soffit and the back wall that is waiting the window installation.

The replacement windows arrived on Friday. The plumber was in on Friday starting the main floor rough-ins. During the week, Wayne arrived with the backhoe, Bobcat and trucks and began backfilling around the foundation and in the garage. Material was taken from the far southern portion of the lot. We didn't get a picture, but we have a small moon crater atop a little knoll.

The dryer weather and additional backfill also allowed for the gravel placement in the basement. The concrete guys have that done and have laid the insulation and mesh - come on plumber!

The framing inspection was completed and passed (at least that what the plumber tells us - we didn't see a copy posted anywhere). Whew!

As Karen was done school and done early, and as Bill had Friday off (rather than Monday) we had some to time to rest and relax in the back yard prior to departing. Do you think Priscilla will like our new pet (not sure if he's going to be George the Gopher or Pete the Prairie Dog)?
